About
I started my musical life as a flute player, when I was nine. Like many woodwind players, I looked at the string section with a mixture of jealousy, fear and total incomprehension. But then, the stars aligned, or what have you, and I was able to act on a secret wish: to play the cello. After a false start with a truly terrible rental cello, I bought my own in 2006 and haven’t looked back since.
I began this journey in London, England, where I played with some truly amazing amateur orchestras and had the chance to work at Southbank Centre (Royal Festival Hall). I had my son in August 2009, which has made practising a bit tricky, and we’re moving back to Canada shortly. An international cello journey, if you will.

I started learning cello – music, in fact – at the age of 32 (4 years ago). I am leaving this comment just to keep updated with new posts by e-mail. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Excellent! Hopefully I’ll have more to say soon, once I’ve moved and my cello returns safely from its sea voyage.
